Blog readers may be interested to know of the new ‘Visible Discipleship’ report just published by the Social Responsibility Network of the Church of England and Church in Wales. This makes a strong case for seeing what has traditionally been called ‘social responsibility’ as ‘visible discipleship’, emphasising community engagement as a core discipleship practice and an intrinsic part of Christian witness. This seems very much in keeping with the Trust’s own work on ‘What Helps Disciples Grow?‘ which emphasises how engagement in the world beyond the church is as much a place of formation for discipleship as it is the fruit or outcome of Christian faith. You can find the full ‘Visible Discipleship’ report here.
