In March 2020, churches across the nation were forced to close their doors due to Covid-19 Lockdown restrictions. Even now, many are unsure of when they will be allowed to fully re-open, and what the practical implications are likely to be in place when they do. By the time churches are allowed to fully re-open, what will the world look like? How will our society have changed?
On the 24th March 2021 Sandwell Churches Link launched a 3-year programme working with approximately 60 churches across Sandwell. Using an ‘Asset Based’ approach to community development, Opening New Doors will help churches and communities develop their vision and rediscover their place as beacons of hope, connectivity and mutual benefit in their local community.
Sandwell Churches Link are delighted to have received financial support from Allchurches Trust and St Peter’s Saltley Trust.
Formed over 20 years ago, Sandwell Churches Link’s mission is to connect Sandwell’s churches together and to support them to reduce poverty across the borough, tackling homelessness, food poverty, isolation and financial exclusion.
